Barack Obama's use of Civil religion his inauguration speech
During his inauguration speech President Barack Obama mentioned a lot of topics that Civil Religion is meant to have, such as the hope of a better future and the use of power to achieve justice. In his speech, he mentioned God many times, perhaps to appeal to his listeners and to also make them believe that he is religious. Civil religion in my opinion played an important role in his inauguration because he showed to the world that he belives in God. This action is mainly to appeal to the moderates who do not trust non-believers.
