Religion and Politics

In my Religion and Politics class, we have talked a plethora about how civil religion affects the decisions taken by citizens, I think might write the EDIS paper on this very controversial topic. Given my background in this topic and with far more research I think I can manage to write a paper.

    Hmmm...how DOES civil religion (whatever that means!) influence the decisions citizens make?

    You know, I must say, I don't like it when politicians say, "God bless America." Why only America? Why not, "God bless the world" or "God bless us all" or "May you find peace and happiness today and in your future"?
